Citysense
Citysense is a concept that uses gamification to improve Civic Behaviour. It allows policymakers to connect with citizens by designing challenges that encourage better behaviour. The concept is built on strengthening civic identity and pushing for more civic engagement by nudging citizens in a fun way.
It uses concepts of positive reinforcement, social validation and incentives to set up 'challenges'.
Once challenges are set up, they can be viewed by citizens on their CitySense App.
CitySense as a system can be implemented in any city and can be tailored to the needs of the specific policymakers and the behaviours they would like to encourage among citizens.
This concept won "Best Concept' in a Smart City Challenge where designers sent in their entries for ideas to use Big Data in a city context. It was also selected and showcased in a company wide innovation competition called Infinity.
